Very much the new centre of creativity and arts in Liverpool, Fact is a complex of galleries, cinemas, a media lounge and café. Home to many of Liverpool's artistic and cultural festivals, it is very much part of Liverpool's response to hosting City of Culture 2008. Very much at the forefront of bringing a range of cultural themes to the city - one recent example being Homotopia, there is always something new and interesting for everyone just on the horizon.

The award winning architecture of the building is a sleek shrine of steel and glass and is arranged on four levels. The ground floor houses the media lounge, a gallery, The Box (which is like a private screening lounge) and Café serving light refreshments and snacks. The bar and Gallery 2 are situated on the second floor with Picturehouse Cinema on the third floor. A full medialab with training and development resources are on the top floor, along with the administration and operation offices.

It's also worth knowing that FACT can be hired as a venue - and an original one at that!

A lot of thought has gone into FACT, which is a genuine UK cultural flag ship - not just for Liverpool but, I suspect, the rest of the country. Definitely get's a REALLiverpool thumbs up!
