With many hotels springing up in Liverpool, in readiness for the City of Culture 2008, there is a cornucopia of accommodation, most of which is in easy walking distance from the city's nightlife and attractions. 		Marriott Hotel Contemporary in style but with 143 bedrooms and 3 suites, the hotel has all the facilities that you would want or expect from a hotel of this size. There is a restaurant, room service, cocktail lounge and that wonderful hotel laundry (where you pop it in a bag and it magically appears all pressed and pristine), this may well be a 'corporate' style hotel, but it's one of the better ones in the city. 1, Queen Square, Liverpool, L1 1RH 0151 476 8000 click for details
