review

Ahh..WIMFEST. A lesbian music festival as part of Homotopia, with three great acts. Unfortunately, not many people turned up....

Perhaps it was the driving wind and rain, or that a certain Miss Winehouse was in town (in fact just downstairs), but this was a real pity.

However, always looking for that silver lining, it did mean that the acoustics in such a large and largely empty venue provided some extraordinary spine-tingling moments as the considerable talents of Al Start, Chick Atkinson and Spy 51 provided some haunting vocals allowed to flow freely throughout the room.

Despite having driven 200 miles each way especially, I'm still glad I was there!
