Liverpool has a scene that is positively booming. Spread over the Dale Street / Victoria Street area, there are new bars and clubs all over the place. Mainly mixed with an up for it crowd - we've never seen so many people out by 8pm dancing, drinking and generally having a jolly good time.

We started out at The Lisbon, a drinking hole of the old-school but bursting at the seems with a heady mix of pretty boys, atomic-kitten lookie-likies (all of which had one of two hair-do's), hunky guys and laydees of a certain age.

Next we moved on to the Masquerade Bar, with an impromtu performance by a Cher wannabe and hosted by a drag queen that would make Betty Swallocks look excitable. Again...very, very busy.

On next to a quick visit to G-Bar, Navy Bar, Superstar Boudoir and Curzon and... it all gets rather hazy.

Cheap drinks, a sea of people appearing to have the night of their lives and me, by all accounts, taking it all in and grinning like a Cheshire cat! We'll be back...
